Within the web folder you will find the file "web.config" - this is a XM= L file containing a number of settings which configure settings for the Ent= erprise Tester application, including what type of database to connect to a= nd its connection string details.
By default this file is located:
c:\Prog= ram Files\Catch Limited\Enterprise Tester\Web\web.config
Open the file using notepad, within it you will need to change 4 s= ettings:
These are the default settings:
"migration.providerName"
<app= Settings> <add key=3D"migration.providerName" value=3D"Migrator.Provider= s.SqlServer.SqlServer2005Dialect" /> =20 </appSettings>
Default connection string
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"Data Source=3D.;Initial Catalog=3DEnt= erpriseTester;Integrated Security=3DTrue;MultipleActiveResultSets=3Dtrue;" = />
connection.driver_class
<add= key=3D"connection.driver_class" value=3D"NHibernate.Driver.SqlClientDriver= " />
dialect
<add= key=3D"dialect" value=3D"NHibernate.Dialect.MsSql2005Dialect" />
Following are the web.config values you will need for each type = of database:
We provide example connection strings for each database, but each databa= se supports a number of different connection options - we recommend consult= ing the http://connectionstrings.com/ website for lis= tings of the different connection strings you can try.
By default the web.config file comes with the settings necessary to conn= ect to Sql Server or Sql Server Express - all you need to do is provide a c= onnection string.
Your options are:
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"Data Source=3D.\SQLExpress;AttachDbFi= lename=3Dc:\inetpub\wwwroot\EnterpriseTester\Data\EnterpriseTester.mdf;Init= ial Catalog=3DEnterpriseTester;Trusted_Connection=3DYes;"/>
2. Connect to an existing database, using integrated security.
When using integrated security, the database will be connected to using = the username configured as the identify for the application pool in IIS.
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"Data Source=3D.\SQLExpress;Initial Ca= talog=3DEnterpriseTester;Integrated Security=3DTrue;" />
3. Connect to an existing database, using a sql username & password.=
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"Server=3DServer123;Database=3DEnterpr= iseTester;User ID=3Dbob;Password=3Dpass123;Trusted_Connection=3DFalse;" /&g= t;
Enterprise Tester ships with 2 different Oracle drivers. For new install= ations we would recommend using the Managed Oracle driver.
Change Enterprise Tester to use these values:
migration.providerName:&=
nbsp;"Migrator.Providers.Oracle.OracleManagedDriverDialect"
conn=
ection.driver_class: "E=
nterpriseTester.Core.Dialects.OracleManagedDataClientDriver,EnterpriseTeste=
r.Common"
dialect: "NHibernate.Dialect.Orac=
le10gDialect"
And update the connection string to be like this:
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"User ID=3DSYSTEM;Password=3Dpassword;= Data Source=3D192.168.1.10:1521/orcl"/>

New Installations of Enterprise Tester
Enterprise Tester 4.8 and above supports managed ODP.Net drivers. No sep= arate installation is required for managed ODP.Net drivers. We recommended = using the managed drivers by all new Enterprise Tester customers who wish t= o connect to an Oracle database. For details on configuration settings requ= ired to be set in the web.config for the Oracle managed drivers please cons= ult the "Database Configur= ation" topic.
Configuring Enterprise Tester to use Unmanaged Oracle drivers requires s= ome additional manual steps. These are outlined in the "Oracle Driver Installation (unmanaged= )" section.
Enterprise Tester requires the following values within the web.config:= p>
migration.providerName:&=
nbsp;"Migrator.Providers.Oracle.OracleDialect"
connection.driver=
_class: "NHibernate.Driver.OracleDataClientDriver"
dialect: "NHibernate.Dialect.Oracle10gDialect"
The connection string to be something like the below (this will rely on = TNSNAmes)
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"User ID=3DSYSTEM;Password=3Dpassword;= Data Source=3D192.168.1.10:1521/orcl"/>
Alternatively, you can specify the connection details inline, like this:=
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"Data Source=3D(DESCRIPTION=3D(ADDRESS= _LIST=3D(ADDRESS=3D(PROTOCOL=3DTCP)(HOST=3D192.168.1.10)(PORT=3D1521)))(CON= NECT_DATA=3D(SERVER=3DDEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=3DETPROD)));User Id=3DSYSTEM;= Password=3Dpassword;" />

Change Enterprise Tester to use these values:
migration.providerName:&=
nbsp;"Migrator.Providers.PostgreSQL.PostgreSQL82Dialect"
connect=
ion.driver_class: "NHibernate.Driver.NpgsqlDriver"
dialect: "NHibernate.Dialect.PostgreSQL82Dialect"
And update the connection string to be like this:
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"Server=3D192.168.1.10;Port=3D5432;Dat= abase=3Det-prod;User Id=3Dpostgres;Password=3DPassword123;Timeout=3D60;Comm= andTimeout=3D120;" />
Change Enterprise Tester to use these values:
migration.providerName:&=
nbsp;"Migrator.Providers.Mysql.MysqlDialect"
connection.driver_c=
lass: "NHibernate.Driver.MySqlDataDriver"
dialect:=
"EnterpriseTester.Core.Dialects.MySqlDialectEx, EnterpriseTe=
ster.Core"
And update the connection string to be like this:
<add= name=3D"Default" connectionString=3D"Server=3D192.168.1.10;Database=3Det-p= rod;Uid=3Detuser;Pwd=3Dpassword;" />
